Unbox it
It arrives compressed in a bag and may look flatter than you expected. Nothing is wrong with it.

Let it take shape
Leave it out for a few hours before you judge it. Foam needs air to come back to its full contour.

Set the height once
Sit down, slide it so the curve sits in the small of your back at roughly belt level, then tighten the strap there. Too high and it pushes your shoulders forward.
If it feels like it is pushing you forward, it is sitting too high. Drop it a few centimetres and tighten the strap again. Most people get this wrong on the first try.

Will it fit my chair?
It is designed for standard office, study and home chairs, and the adjustable strap is what lets it work across different seat backs rather than one specific size.
Where to be careful is a chair that is already heavily shaped, like a bucket car seat or a racing-style gaming chair. Those have their own built-in contour, and adding a cushion on top can push you too far forward. Sit back in yours and see whether there is actually a gap at your lower back. If there is, this fills it.
Where exactly should it sit on my back?
In the small of your back, roughly at belt level. That inward curve just above your hips is the part that loses its shape when you slump, and the cushion is there to hold it.
If it is sitting higher, up between your shoulder blades, it will push your upper body forward and feel worse than no cushion at all. Slide it down and tighten the strap there. Almost everyone sets it too high on the first attempt.
Can I use it in the car?
Yes, and for a lot of buyers that is the main reason they get it. Strap it around the seat back and it stays in place instead of sliding down every time you move.
Two things to keep in mind. Make sure it does not interfere with your seatbelt or how upright you need to sit to see the road properly. And if your car has deeply bolstered sports seats, check there is room behind you first.
How do I clean it?
Spot clean only, with a lightly damp cloth and mild soap, then let it air dry fully before using it again. Do not soak it, machine wash it or dry clean it.
Be particularly careful with the mesh side panels. They are there for airflow, and soaking them is the fastest way to leave a water mark you cannot get out. Keep it out of direct sunlight as well.
